For The Love Of Baking

4

The Holiday season is upon us. For me this means many things, including friends, family, celebrations, present shopping and merriment. However, I do spend a great deal of time in the kitchen baking. During this time of year I primarily make christmas cookies. And lots of them. We send some to friends and relatives and keep the rest for ourselves. Over the course of the next month I will spend three or four whole days in the kitchen baking and decorating cookies. Over the years it has become my job and I have perfected the recipe my mom had been using for years.

Facebook's New Features: Helpful or Creepy?

Facebook’s wall-to-wall feature, which allowed a Facebook user to see conversations between two friends, has now been replaced with a clickable link that reads “see friendship.” Clicking on this link enables you to not only view a conversation between two people (wall posts as well as picture, link and note comments), but a person can also see every picture the two are tagged in, mutual as well as common friendships, groups and pages they both like and even events they have attended together.

My only question to Facebook- why?

The “bitter” taste that I despised was lost in all the chocolate and sugar.

In the wake of last weekend’s Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear in Washington D.C., the press have been fighting back against some of Jon Stuart’s rhetoric with scathing remarks and the exact kind of inept interpretation of message that Stuart lambasts to begin with.

The Very Beginning of The Best Part Of The Year

It is now November, which for many signals the start of the holiday season. Stores become christmas/Winter/Holiday themed and joy is in the air. To me it seems like this part of the year comes faster each new year than it did previously. Perhaps this is because stores give that illusion. Instead of decorating for the Holidays after Thanksgiving, they start the week of Halloween. Some people are just finishing their costumes while stores simultaneously begin the early stages of Holiday season mania.
